This week Avtodor’s guard Victor Kashin and center Artem Klimenko will arrive Madrid’s neighborhood of Alcobendas, where FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships will take place from 28 to 30 September. Avtodor's chairman Vladimir Rodionov is appointed as the head coach of Russian team which also includes Mikhail Kulagin ad Stanislav Ilnitskiy.

For Victor Kashin this U18 championship is second in a row. Last year he played in Rimini where Russian 3x3 team finished 5th while Kashin was top-scorer. On the contrary Klimenko will make his debut with Russian nationals in any format of the game. In ‘classic’ 5x5 basketball probably he will not play for Russia till the age of 21 because of veto of Ukraine’s federation.

To make the play-offs a team should made top 3 in its group. Group winners will go directly to semifinals while the runner-ups and 3-placed teams will clash in quarterfinals.
